Dana Point Jet Ski and Kayak Center is chartering another Kayak Fishing Mothership Trip aboard the Islander . This 1.5 day charter departs Friday June 15th at 8:00 pm and returns Sunday June 17th at 8:00 am. We are headed for San Clemente Island, which is one of Southern California's prime destinations for Kayak Anglers. Productive kelp, secluded coves and numerous boiler rocks make this a must visit destination for anglers in search of Yellowtail, White Sea Bass and all the trophy Calico Bass action they can handle. This fishery is available only by boat but upon arrival kayak anglers truly have nearly unlimited access to excellent fishing grounds. The price of the trip is $305. On February 25th we will be displaying Hobie kayaks at Bass Pro Shop in Ranch Cucamonga. In addition, Team Dana Point Jet Ski and Kayak Center Captain, Gilbert Hernandez, will also be giving a presentation on fishing with Hobie kayaks.
Fishing with Friends Tournament Schedule 2012
The 2012 Fishing with friends Tournament Schedule starts this April!
Rules are as follows: Entry fee is $10 with largest legal fish taking all. No sharks, rays, skates, etc. Very simple Winner-Takes-All format; no sponsors, no raffles, no prizes, no points, no hassle. The Tournament starts at 7am with weigh in at 2pm. Weigh in and post tournament pot luck takes place at Dana Point Jet Ski and Kayak Center. Parking will be available for those early launchers. The gate to the launch will be open at 6:30am and closed at 7:30, but will re-open at 9am. You can launch any other place you want to, just make sure you've checked in and kicked in your ante. All participants are responsible for bringing something to the pot-luck. Dana Pint Jet Ski and Kayak Center will supply the main course.
